Hassan Hosny is currently a full Professor of Neurology at Cairo University (since 2002). After completing his residency training at Cairo University Hospitals he left to the USA where he completed his fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy at the University of Chicago and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr Hosny’s main interest in Neurology is Epilepsy.
Dr. Hosny is the president of the Egyptian Epilepsy Association which he founded in 2004. He works closely with the International League against Epilepsy (ILAE). He was elected for chairing the Commission on East Mediterranean Affairs (CEMA) from 2013-2017. He sits on the board of the Educational and Epilepsy care commissions of the ILA and a member of the Editorial board of the international journal of Epilepsy Research.
